What Is STL?
STL is a legal numbers game official operated by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) in selected cities and provinces including Batangas, Luzon, Laguna and others. Licensed private corporations operate the daily draws in their specific and assigned areas, and a share of the revenue funds PCSO health and welfare programs.
STL was introduced as a legal replacement for Jueteng. It is a number game, people invest in it, buy a ticket and wait for the draw. Basically, the logic was simple, people were going to bet on numbers which was not regulated. So, bring the legal game “STL” into a regulated system where the money is taxed, audited and goes straight to the charity work.
PCSO cannot running every draw itself including STL, the private gaming corporations bid for the right to operate STL in a specific area such as Cerulean Gaming Corp. holds Lapu-Lapu City, Piona Trading & Supply Corp holds Mandaue City etc. Different names, different areas, same PCSO draws. But for that, the private operators need approval from the government.

STL Games Explained (Pares, Swer2, Swer3, Swer4)
There are total of four games run officially under STL. All are different from each other based on how many numbers you pick and how wide the number range is, the odds and the payout as well.

STL Pares
In STL Pares, you pick two numbers from 1 to 40. Both must come up in the exact order drawn to win. This draw uses a single-chambered machine. One ball is drawn, the machine is reset, then the second ball is drawn. Because the range runs from 1 to 40 rather than 9, Pares has the longest odds of all the four games and the largest payout per Peso.
STL Swer2
In Swer2. you pick two digits, each from 0 to 9, and both must match in exact order. A two-chambered machine drives the draw. With the 100 possible combinations, Swer2 is the shortest-odds STL game. The beginners and most casual players start with Swer2.
STL Swer3 (Swertres)
The Swer3 game has three digits from 0 to 9, exact order. It is drawn from a three-chambered machine.
This is the most searched STL game and it is also shown on the board at the top of this page. Basically the Swer3 shares its format with the national 3D game, which is also called Swertres. Same idea, different draw, different operator, different numbers.
STL Swer4 (Mindanao Only)
The last game is STL Swer4. It is a four digits game from 0 to 9, exact order. Swer4 runs only in the Mindanao area, on the evening draw. If you are not from the Mindanao, no outlet will sell you a Swer4 ticket. That why people search for Swer4 in Luzon cannot get the results in return.

STL vs Swertres – What’s the Difference
These are the two main games by PCSO where most people confused and mix them up constantly. This confusion costs people money when they check a ticket against the wrong results. Here in this table i will differentiate them by coverage, draw times, and numbers range. Check this out!

The actual trap is Swer3 versus Swertres. Both games ask for three digits from 0 to 9 in exact order. Both are sometimes called “Swertres” in conversation as well. But in reality they are different draws by PCSO with different winning numbers on the same day. It is very important to check the game name printed on your ticket.
How to Play STL – Step by Step Guide
Here is the step by step how to Play STL guide specially for the new players. Carefully follow the steps to avoid any error or problem and play the game smoothly.
❶ Find an Authorized STL Outlet
First of all you need to buy only from a PCSO-authorized outlet or operator in an area where STL is licensed. There is no legitimate way to play STL online, and anyone offering to place a bet for you on social media is not an agent.
❷ Choose Your game
Pick Pares, Swer2, Swer3, or Swer4 (if you are in Mindanao). Swer2 has the shortest odds at 1 in 100. Pares has the longest with the highest winning prize.
❸ Select Numbers and Amount
Mark your numbers on the panel, or you can ask for the Lucky Pick. In this way the terminal or machine automatically generate numbers. After that set your stake, the STL prizes scale with the amount, so the stake decides the payout.
- STL Swer3: For this game, you have to choose a 3 digit combination. The number ranging from 0 to 9 in the exact order.
- STL Pares: For Pares, choose the pair, the two numbers ranging from 1 to 40. This is the only different between these two games.
- STL Swer2: This is slightly different game, in this you have to chose two numbers and the range will be 0 tp 9.
❹ Check the Ticket before Leave the Counter
Before leaving the counter, it is very important to verify the game, the numbers, the draw date and the played amount. Once you walk away, any printing problem or any error is your problem not PCSO or operator.
❺ Store the Ticket Properly, then Check the STL Result Today
Store the ticket carefully, keep it flat, dry and out of direct heat. Tickets are heat-sensitive and a faded or creased barcode can fail validation. Always compare it against the correct area’s STL result today on this page after the draw.
How to Claim Your STL Winnings
The prize claim process is very simple and straightforward if you follow the actual steps and carefully complete the requirements. It is easy for small prizes and gets more formal for higher winning claims.
Ticket Validity Period
You have “one year” from the draw date to claim your winning prize. After that the ticket is not valid and the prize goes to PCSO’s charity fund. There is no appeal and no extension at all.
Sign the back of the ticket as soon as you know it’s a winner. That establishes ownership, it is the very important step, if the ticket is ever questioned.
Where to Claim (by Prize Tier)
|
Prize Amount |
Where to Claim |
|---|---|
|
P20.00 to P10,000 |
Any authorized PCSO outlet, or your nearest PCSO branch office |
|
P10,001 to P300,000 |
PCSO branch office in your region, or the PCSO Main Office |
|
Above 300,000 |
PCSO Main Office only |
Required Documents
- The original winning ticket, intact and readable with your signature on the back is must.
- Two valid government-issued IDs bearing your photo and signature.
- A completed filled prize claim form, provided at the branch or main office
Small prize claims are simple and easy to process, the agent verify the ticket through the terminal and pays out. For that you need to bring an Valid ID anyway.
Lost or Damaged Ticket Procedure
A lost ticket cannot be claimed at all. PCSO pays the holder of the ticket, not the person who says they bought it, and there is no record linking a bet to the name.
However, the damaged tickets are judged on the physical condition whether they still validate or not. A ticket that can torn, rubbed out, badly stained or has a unreadable barcode will be rejected. Plastic Lamination causes the same problem, it can cause the interferes with the scan.
A picture of your ticket in the phone is also a very major mistake, that proves nothing at the claim counter. You can proceed the claim procedure only with the physical ticket.
All the prizes, and claim details are from Official PCSO Source

Is STL Legal? Regulation & Responsible Gaming
Yes, STL is a 100% legal numbers game in the Philippines which is operated officially by the PCSO and the PCSO licensed corporation in an authorized area. Playing the game through an unlicensed operator or an online middleman is not legal.
A legitimate and valid STL bet produces a printed, machine-validated ticket from a terminal. If you handed cash to someone who wrote your numbers in a notebook, that was not STL. Beware from such type of people and deals.
Minimum Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 to play STL and at least 18 to claim a winning prize. ID verifications and checks apply at the claim counter regardless of the amount.
Responsible Gaming Guidance
Basically the STL is cheap to play but drawn three times a day. Due to this you can spend more than you meant to. To avoid this follow the tips below:
- Always decide your limit before you go to play. Once you buy the ticket, treat that money as gone.
- Don’t play more or bigger after a loss. Losing the current game cannot increase chances to win the next draw. The odds are the same every time.
- Only and Always use spare money. Never use that money which you set aside for rent, school, food, medicine or any essentials.
- Watch how often you play, not just how much. A P20 draw looks very small. But keep in mind the three draws a day is P420 a week.
Where to Watch the Live STL Result Today
The draws are broadcast live, and watching live is the fastest way to see a STL result today. It usually takes a few minutes ahead of any website or any source which is available online, this one included as well.
- Official STL Visayas and STL Mindanao Facebook pages carry the reginal draws live.
- You can see the live national draw results on PCSO’s official YouTube channel.
- On television, PTV4 broadcasts PCSO draws live.
- If you want to check the latest results online, you can visit stlresulttoday.ph anytime.
The Provincial draws are streamed by their own operators, usually on Facebook. If you are checking a Batangas or Laguna ticket, the operator’s social media page is the primary source.
Note: Consider any results which is usually circulate fast on social media un-official until PCSO or any reliable source confirms it. Check the source carefully before you celebrate or throw a ticket away.
Common Mistakes and How to Avoid Them
- The common mistake is to checking the wrong area’s result. Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue and Visayas & Mindanao announced three different digits daily. You need to match the area on your ticket carefully.
- People often confusing STL Swer3 with national Swertres 3D draw because both have same format, but different draws with different numbers.
- Another common mistake is consider the correct set of digits in the wrong order which pays nothing. So, always assume the exact digits order.
- Printing errors are very common, so check your ticket carefully before leaving the counter.
- People waiting too long to claim a winning prize. You have one year, if that time passed the prize is gone.
- Players usually trusting a screenshot on social media or from any other untrusted source. Always verify the results on PCSO official website or any other reliable source.
